Bancroft School Art Department

For over a hundred years, Bancroft School has educated young people, Kindergarten through Grade 12, in the tradition of the liberal arts and sciences. The mission of the faculty at Bancroft School is to work with parents to create a diverse community of good people who are lifelong learners and teachers of others and citizens of the globe. The teachers engage students with a caring, creative, and challenging college-preparatory curriculum and related programs that meet their current and emerging academic and personal needs. They offer a diverse and supportive learning environment in which children thrive. Their success is measured not only through their superb college placement record, but, as importantly, by the contribution of generations of their graduates who have gone forth to make this world a better place.

Bancroft has a creative visual arts department within their small private day school and this internship is designed to give an intern studio time to work on their own art discipline as well as learn the aspects of teaching in an art department. Possibilities include painting, animation, drawing, woodworking, photography, ceramics and sculpture. An intern may have an opportunity to work with the music department as well.
