Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance

The Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance works with a number of constituencies on housing issues. One function of the agency is to serve as an advocacy group to spur the city to provide programs and affordable housing for the homeless and those with low incomes at risk of becoming homeless. Another function is to provide information to landlords and tenants on housing matters and tenant rights. A further branch of the Alliance maintains a donations clearinghouse of furniture and household accessories to low income households. Interested interns have the opportunity to work in any of the above areas, from screening phone calls and answering clients' questions to assisting with furniture delivery and/or the Walk for Homelessness in May.
