Friendly House Shelter

Friendly House was founded "for the educational, social and family betterment of residents of the City of Worcester."  Friendly House/Settlement House (multi-service center) works with entire families both nuclear and extended, as an integrating force for the families and the neighborhood (s) it serves.  Friendly House provides a continuum of comprehensive coordinated neighborhood basic services to inner-city families.

Friendly House is grounded by the Settlement House Philosophy of approaching individuals, families, and the community in a holistic manner. 

To fullfil its mission, Friendly House offers:

After School Programs: educational and recreational programs, summer camp programs, counselor in training and a teen program.

Social Services: senior services, basic needs services, shelter services, community organization efforts, and a host of information and referral services.
