Health Awareness Services

Health Awareness Services is a private, non-profit organization which provides comprehensive women's health services and education, nutrition, counseling and medical services for pregnant and parenting teens and their families. They run a free clinic certain evenings of the week.

Interns would do clerical work, community outreach and some clinical work. Recent intern experiences include HIV education in the schools. Possible independent projects include designing and running a new workshop or researching and compiling a fact sheet.
