On My
Internship Experience
My
first internship was with the Arts Council, where I
headed up the Slide Return Project. Basically, after the last exhibit I
organized and filed about 250 folders then called all the artists who
owned them and asked if they needed their slides returned. I also assisted
in hanging the gallery that is up at the moment. I'm now working at the
6th Street Playhouse, where I assist with many aspects of managing a
regional theater. I sell raffle tickets at the performances, help with a
lot of the paperwork, and have responsibility for managing props for our
next production: Over The River and Through the Woods. I've learned that
I'm more responsible and capable than I thought I was. I'm able to live
here and do everything on my own. I've even been offered the
job of Assistant Stage Manager for the show that runs early this summer.
It's been a very empowering experience!

On Apartment Life
Domestic chores still are not fun
for me, but they work a lot better when you share them! Also, I've learned
that you should address problems before they become bigger.
On
Adventure Challenge
In all honesty, the highlight of adventure
challenge for me was the last day! We did an activity where we anonymously
said who we felt we were close to--who helped us keep it together, who we
had a good conversation with, who we'd do this with again, that sort of
thing. It was a really special day for me and for our entire group!
On My Dynamy Experience
Dynamy has an amazing sense of community and
togetherness. I like that a lot, AND I'm having fun! :)
On My
Plans for the Future
I'm going back to college, which was always my
plan. After Internship Year, I'm feeling more confident about finding the
right college for me (I'm deciding between two great schools) and being
ready to make the most of the opportunity now.
