On Why I Chose Dynamy
I wanted to take some time off from college, and I knew that I didn’t want to live at home. I also wanted to earn some credit toward college and/or do something that would look great on my resume. I went to a college advisor and the next thing I knew, I was applying to Dynamy. Internship Year met all of my requirements!

On My Internship Experience
I interned for A.G. Edwards and for the New England Surge. A.G. Edwards is a brokerage firm which I chose because I am currently a finance major, and I wanted some hands on work in the field I was studying. While there, I worked for the branch manager and with many of the other brokers. The New England Surge is an arena football team in the CIFL. I wanted to work for the Surge because working in the front office of a professional sports team has always been a dream of mine. I worked for the owner, the office manager, and the head coach during the team’s first season in the league. During each of my internships, I learned to be assertive in the work place, and I realized that working 35-40 hours a week isn’t as easy as it looks, but it is gratifying. I also learned through my internship with the Surge that I want to change my major to Sports Management with a minor in Finance.

On Adventure Challenge
My Outward Bound experience was great. Would I do it again? I don’t know, but I do know that I have no regrets about it, and I came out of it knowing new things about myself.

On Community Service
I have volunteered at block parties and community clean-ups and participated in Worcester community meetings. I found it fun to be an active member of the community, and I look forward to doing more in the future.

On My Dynamy Experience
The strongest element of the Dynamy program is learning to become an independent person. No one wakes you up to go to work in the morning, no one helps you manage your budget. It’s up to you to get stuff done.

On My Plans for the Future
Right now I am searching for a college, preferably in Florida, with a good sports management program.
