Raquel joined Dynamy as an Advisor in 2006.  She was born in Ecuador, but her family immigrated to Worcester when Raquel was an infant. She attended a number of the public middle and high schools that Dynamy currently partners with for the Youth Academy. Prior to coming to Dynamy, Raquel worked for three years with the Citizen Schools after-school program, for two of those as a full-time AmeriCorps sponsored Teaching Fellow. As a teaching fellow, she worked closely with inner city students in two public middle schools in Worcester and very closely with the YMCA of Greater Worcester. She has also spent a summer working with the city's YouthNet program. Raquel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Worcester State College and is certified in Massachusetts to teach Spanish and French.
