WCRN Radio

WCRN is a small talk radio station. Opportunities here include learning to edit audio tracks, researching information for the morning show, working the boards, creating and recording promotions, marketing, sales and working with oganizations such as The Salvation Army to raise finds on their behalf.

WCRN is the station you can listen to all day long covering topics and events that matter to you. We all know there is more to life than just politics. WCRN is proud to offer new talk programs with interesting subjects to listen to, based on your personal interests.

WCRN also broadcasts Umass athlectics, the New England Surge professional indoor football team, Worcester Tornadoes baseball and the Boston Red Sox.

Interns will have an opportunity to learn many aspects of running a radio station in this small studio. Interns may learn to use the board, work in the office, produce shows, do research and be on the phone. There are also opportunities to promote the station by passing out items or participating in the station's charitable work off-site.
