WICN 90.5 FM is a public radio station in downtown Worcester. Its diverse programs include public affairs, jazz, blues, folk music, classical and ethnic/cultural issues. Their mission is based on the premise that Arts and culture contribute to a quality of life that keeps a community vibrant and economically alive. WICN Public Radio is committed to the presentation of authentic, independent music, on the radio and in the concert halls, to preserve America's living art forms of Jazz and Folk music for generations to enjoy. WICN Public Radio, Inc. has been a vibrant presence in the cultural life of Central Massachusetts for the past thirty-five years. WICN became a member of National Public Radio in 1980, and was accredited by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 1987.

Interns have the opportunity to work in public relations; membership coordination; fund-raising; assisting with concerts and various work pertaining to media, writing and the web site. Depending on an intern's interest and ability, the possibility exists for work with DJ's in the recording booth.
