Internship Year works for a lot of students, whether successful in high school or frustrated by their prior academic experiences. Dynamy interns are college-age young men and women who know that they want to learn differently – outside of the classroom in hands-on, real world experiences with a personalized plan and supportive mentors. There is no “typical” student here! Young people with all kinds of strengths and talents do well; we see students with all kinds of personalities, learning styles, and fashion sense, students who love animals, writing, teaching, filmmaking, gaming, painting, music, and on and on. Each class has individuals with a wide range of interests and strengths which adds to the character and vibrancy of the group as a whole. It makes life at Dynamy pretty fun. We’re small enough to quickly get to know each person’s unique and remarkable story, and we’d love to get to know yours! Some specifics: Around half of each class calls the Northeast of the U.S. home, with the rest coming from all parts of the U.S. or even other countries. A majority come to Dynamy directly after high school and are 17-19 years old, though a significant group has completed some college and/or are in their early twenties. There usually is a balance between those who attended private and public schools, those who start their day with coffee and those who start with orange juice, and those who use a PC and those who use a Mac. The one thing every Dynamy student has in common is the motivation to learn how to best create their own life with confidence. If this describes you and the type of community you want to join, start your application today! For an even more personal perspective, get in touch with recent Internship Year alumni!
