YWCA Childcare Program

The YWCA's mission is to empower women and girls and eliminate racism. They house an excellent daycare for inner city kids. The staff is very willing to work with an Intern to design an experience that meets one's interests. The program has groups from infant to kindergarten age. The YWCA also has other social service programs catering primarily, but not exclusively, to women. Programs include Health and Fitness, Career Resources, Transitional Housing, Daybreak Resources for Women, Teen Programs, and Women and Girls Wellness.
