Dynamy
Interns are welcome all over the Worcester area in settings that
range from the arts and culture, to human services, education, the
environment, business, city and town offices, the media, and more.
Much more.
Dynamy
interns have worked in hundreds of Worcester businesses and organizations.
With your advisor, you create a learning plan to choose three nine-week
internships: all around a single interest such as medicine or art,
or as separate experiences in diverse areas such as teaching, management,
environmental work, or graphic design.
Through
Dynamy's action oriented education, you get involved at your internships
- whether that's going to court with a lawyer or collecting fish
scale samples with a wildlife scientist. You learn to be part of
a working team, and by taking on new experiences and becoming an
active learner, you will be challenged by increased responsibilities
at your internships.
"Learning
by doing," means getting involved, discovering questions to ask,
and exploring answers out in the world. What talents do I have
to offer? What skills do I want to develop? What are my goals? How
do I want to make a difference?
As
you find your answers, new questions arise, and the year becomes
an open-ended process of discovery. The relationships that you build
at your internships offer you an insider's view of the workplace.
Others will support you as you search for your own answers. This
support is one of the greatest strengths of the Internship Year.
You will learn from people, from experiences, from reflection, and
from being open to the surprises of the moment.
Internships
are available at a variety of Worcester-area companies and organizations.
