We believe that each individual has a responsibility to his/her community.
Formal community service is one expectation of every student and staff member, as is informal participation in the Dynamy and Worcester communities. In short, we are better together.
Just like with your internships, you’ll have input into whether you’d rather volunteer with hands-on projects (such as painting park buildings or volunteering at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore), with reading to some of Worcester’s youngest residents, with trail maintenance of the city’s many green spaces (like Broadmeadow Brook), or throwing a holiday party at a senior center.
Your advisor will help you to both find opportunities that fit your interests as well as encourage you to try new things. And we require every student to participate, in your own unique way, with the community of peers, through formal meetings like Monday workshops and house meetings, as well as in informal conversations and activities.
